DVD Battery Life.
I have a 07 screw that has a drop down dvd player right where a sunroof would be. My question is...could i watch a movie that was say 1.5-2 hours long without my battery dying? I dont want to have my truck running the whole time just to have the key turned on. Whats the best way to watch movies without my truck dying? Thanks.
Try washing and waxing your truck in the driveway at your home while running the DVD and after an hour and a half see if the truck still starts, if not at least you're at home on a day off so you could have a friend or family member give you a jump.
i dont see why you wouldnt be able to sit like that. my truck will sit with radio on and subs hitting for hours. i have let it sit for 4 hours like that and actually cranked up pretty good while i was putting the motor in our mustang. and my truck gets used for our partys ad everything around here because i have the best sounding system of all my friends
The other thing I would ask is that for the DVD player, do you need to have the key on battery or will it work on AUX (the first click). Reason being is because if you just need the radio on the AUX should work. If you need the battery on then you are running pretty much key power robbing components. Just a thought.

Well washing some blankets from her camper with my EX girlfriend, we laid down the front seats and watched the whole simpsons movie and still had more then enough power to start the truck. BTW OE deck speakers and dvd player.
Yes you have to be in AUX for the dvd to work.
