drop in filter or CAI ?
Thinking of installing a CAI on my 07 4.6 but looking at the stock intake system maybe a drop in filter with some modifications to the stock box will sound an perform just as good. Any thoughts or modification ideas?

Drop in my friend. Dont waste your money on a "cold air intake". Iv done a lot of testing on my car with intakes. None gave me any difference in terms of intake air temperature. I saw a 2* difference with a true cold air intake(filter literally in the fenderwell) ONLY at idle.
