Hi new to this forum having problems with interior light it will not turn on and when u shut the truck off and open the door it will not shut the radio off this happened when I had the the truck oil sprayed with krown brought it back to them the said the switch is fine and know wires r cut it is a 2008 fx2 thanks for reading

 

Not sure if you have done a search or not but its on this forum somewhere. I ran into it while looking for ideas to paint my handles. There is a sensor on the door which needs to be cleaned or swapped out.

My truck works with the door except the dome lights turn off when the car turns on. Weird. good luck.

 

Had the truck scaned and the computure thinks the door is closed all the time could this be the door ajar switch or a wire that has been cut

My vote would be for a broken wire in the door jamb. Seems Ford uses stiff house wiring there and they brake.

 

U r 100 percent right took the door jam off pulled on the wires and one broke hooked up for now and seems to be working to cold to work outside will take it to my uncles shop and fix this week.
