Default Driver Door Problems

Hey guys, I’m having two different issues with my driver door. First off, I have an 06 Fx4 XLT crew cab. The two issues i’m having:
Driver door speaker was on and off for awhile and now i can’t get it to turn on. any other suggestions other than tracing wires through the dash? I checked them in the door and in the little rubber boot in the jamb, and couldn’t find anything wrong, other than a little moisture.
Also, the driver door doesn’t turn off the radio or turn on the dome lights. I’ve replaced the door switch, and was unable to find the purple wire in the rear door floorboard. Any other suggestions to fixing that as well? Starting to get annoyed having to reach over and open the passenger door every time lol

Thanks in advance!

I would look at
The wiring into the driver's door from the kick panel
They have a habit of breaking wires inside the rubber boot
We used to spray WD40 in the latches to make the door closed switches work
Replaced hundreds or those switches before we found out WD40 was the real fix

I’ll look into it. The WD40 trick worked for a couple weeks but stopped, so I bought a switch and got it swapped out, and now it’s not working either

For the driver's door speaker problem, from what I learned online, you can use a voltmeter with the setting on AC volts to check for voltage between the two speaker wires. I've never done this myself.

Many of us have experienced the other two problems. This thread for the problem has over 100 posts. My post, with pictures, is #98.
