I have had this problem for a while where the driver door would only be able to be open after pressing the keyless unlock button multiple times. What it looks like is the cylinder that indicates locked/unlocked pops up maybe 1/2 way and then falls back down into the door, leaving it locked from the outside. I took the door apart a few weeks ago, and that cylinder that indicates the door being locked/unlocked was stuck? I can still open the door from the inside. Do I just need a new door lock actuator? 2008 Ext Cab STX 4x4 with power locks.

 

How was it stuck...? Did you try cleaning it?
