Default The dreaded spark plug change........

Well I did it... I had a misfire on cylinder 3 and I decided to try and change out the coil pack to see if that would fix my problem...and it didn't.. So I decided to change the plugs. Well the stealership quoted me $475 to change them without breaking one but if they did they were going to charge me for another half hour of work which is another $50 per hole. We decided to just tough it out and do it ourselves and after 5 and 1/2 hours of work and tons of frustration here's what we ended up with.

We successfully removed the plugs from 1-4 but 5-8 were a different story... We broke 5, 7, & 8 and we broke out the lisle tool which IMHO is the best tool I've ever used.

We sprayed pb blaster and carb cleaner on them and let it soak in for 30mins-1hour i can't say the difference in how it felt verses doing It without it but the amount of build up on the plugs I would have to think that it helped

Cool, I'll have to do that, and hope it helps. Thanks

Update: after a two day run my misfire came back... I just spent the past two hours pulling the plug from cylinder 3 and that stupid pos was broke in the middle of the porcelain... I took it back to the parts store I got them from and they gave me a brand new one since they were under warranty and had to call the territory manager to give them the ok to throw in a $1.39 pack of never cease... Maybe this fixed it this time...

Dang man that sucks. Luckily my dad is a heavy equipment mechanic so we blew the cylinders out with his service truck
