I have a 2007 5.4 f150 XLT and 4x4. I just installed the LiverNoir phaser lockout delete kit and tune. My question is: Can I use the "edge performance evolution 15051" To tune to an economy fuel in addition to the delete tune. I tried and the first thing that came up was "hex" file not found, then a blank screen. I think this is pretty clear cut but i wanted to poll you guys to get some more opinions on the matter.

 

I would doubt it, it reads off the stock tune, so it probably can't read the lock out software.

 

No can do. It's one or the other. If you want a similar tune, you'll need to go back to Livernois (or other experienced tuner) and see if they have or can make one for the lockouts similar to the edge economy tune. The edge tunes are designed to work with an operational VCT system. My guess is the Livernois tunes are pretty good.

 

Probably a dumb question. But I have an edge evolution cts2 and am wondering if they have a program written for the lockouts yet. Or if there is a way to program that tuner with a computer or send it into them or what... Kind of rediculous they wouldn't figure something out yet. Considering the notorious problems of these engines cam phasers have and people resorting to the lockout path.... If they haven't that sucks. And seems like they lose alot of business do to not having a program or be able to stack with the timing/lockout issue. Please tell me I can just download the tune into this sct2 lol
