Default Dorman window regulators

Anyone have an opinion on the quality of this part? Dorman seems to be completely hit or miss- the cam phasers are garbage but their FPDMs seem to be good. My front passenger window just fell into the door. Removed the factory regulator and it was a $.05 piece of plastic that failed. Had Ford bothered to hook the cable into a metal anchor (another $.02 is all it would have cost them), this never would have been an issue. Don't ya just love the bean counters?

Anyway, anyone have experience with this Dorman part? I did a search on here but it was inconclusive.

I went with this part from Rock Auto. It doesn't include the motor, which I don't need anyway and is easily transferred from the old part to the new with with three screws.

Mine have lasted about 2 years each. I'm on my 3rd Dorman drivers side window regulator. I stuck with Dorman because they replace it for free under warranty.

Yeah, reviving an old thread. Just replaced my drivers front window regulator for the 2nd time. The first replacement was done by a glass repair shop (was on the road and needed it done). Offered a 1 year/12,000 mile warranty. Fast forward a 1 1/2 years (and 25,000 miles), it broke again.

Replaced with a Dorman unit. Guess what came out? Another Dorman unit. Looks like a lifetime warranty of replacing it... Oh well, only plan to have this truck another 6 months to a year - hopefully I'll sell it before it breaks again...
