Default Dorman replacement window regulator

I purchased a Dorman window regulator from Amazon and finished installing it today. The install went well. One thing I noticed, when the window is rolled all the way down and then I start to roll it back up I hear a faint grind/crunch. It makes this noise for a brief second every time from this position. I assume this isnt normal? Anyone used the Dorman regulator before who can confirm?

This is the second car I have used the Dorman in. I dont know if I just got a bad one this time but the last one is working fine in my other car. Is the Ford part actually better since it failed in the first place? Maybe its been improved since 2004!

Well the Ford one lasted 10 years, think the Dorman will? Sure you can replace the Dorman 2 or 3 times for the cost of the Ford part, but I dont like replacing the same thing over and over. Did the Ford one grind???

True. It broke with a bang, broken cable. Me either, I would pay more if it would last.
