So ive got a 2005 stx 4.6l v8. well im fed up with the manual windows and mirrors. This is kinda far fetched but i was wondering if i could swap the door of my stx with like a 4x4 or fx4 and put it on my stx. would everything line up. i know id have to splice a few wires for power to the window and mirror but is there anything else i would have to do.

 

i would assume they line up....but what about the wiring that needs to go into the door? do the SXT's have all the wiring but just the manual cranks and stuff? I think you would also run into colors not matching up just right if you switch the whole door. i know the regulators and window actuators are fairly cheap. maybe your best off just getting a couple of donor doors and swapping the parts you need? things like the regulators and actuators and the door panel with switches?

No. No, No,! Don't replace your doors it it a royal pain in the butt to do this. You have to remove the front fenders to get at the hing bolts for the doors. LMC has all of the OEM parts to install all of what you want on your existing doors, for less hassle and less money. And remember you still have to wire in the switches and such, PIA big time......do you still want to do it? hmmm
