I have and 04 5.4 v8 and the right front door will not close all the way unless slammed.... if you try to shu it like you would a normal door it will half way latch but not shut all the way if that makes andy sense.....have any of you expeirienced this or know what to do to fix it. It is hunting season and I dont want my doors to be slammed while im trying to hunt lol also its just irritating any ideas?

 

Same deal here. My '04 passenger side door has done this since I have had the truck. When I shut the door it feels like something is in the way like a seat belt, etc. but can't find any reason it won't shut with reasonable force.

 

Have you tried lubricating the latch mechanism?

 

nope I thought it would be more complicated then that but I guess start small go big.....i will get bck to you on what I find out

 

if its a scab the latch on the sill and corresponding latch on top may need to be aligned.

mine did this when i first got it and after adjustment it closes much easier.
