Default DIY transmission flush

I have an 07 Harley Davidson edition with on 38,000 miles on it. I would like to replace transmission fluid with a higher end synthetic. I work on forklifts for a living so i have some mechanical aptitude and i am big on doing things myself. I have been reading and getting mixed advise on doing this yourself. Can i trully do a fluid exchange myself? If i have a small pump can i hook this inline at the transmission lines and replace it that way?

You can do it, but but you have to ask if it's worth it. If you do something wrong or don't add enough/add too much fluid and cause damage you have no one to blame. You never really get a good flush doing it yourself, the best and safest way to do it is to have someone with a fluid exchanging machine do it for you. You're going to spend $75 or more in fluid anyway, just spend the $100 more and get it all done by someone who has the equipment and knows what they're doing and it'll be right, and if something does go wrong you have someone to blame it on.
