Default DIY bed liner

Go has used a DIY bed liner? I don't wanna spend 400 bucks on linex. Anyone use one of these? I know they don't have the quality as linex but with the price, I don't care. And pictures and info and links are all appreciated!

I did the herculiner on my bed of my old pickup and it worked great. Make sure you get enough to do a couple of coats though. Also follow the instructions closely and make sure you scuff the entire bed thoroughly. It would probly be best to get down to the bare metal but thats a lot of work. Most guys I have talked to about it say just get the paint scuffed real good and make sure its clean before you start puttin the herculiner on.

^ ditto on what he said about the prep. I used duplia color bed armor. Surface prep is key! Scuff it up super good and wipe it all down and clean it with acetone or something similar.

It's not worth it. You'll spend $200 on materials to even get a decent coat. It won't be nearly as even or durable as a spray on liner. If you aren't satisfied, there is no going back to line x.

$400 for Line x is worth it. Remember the lifetime warranty.

I got my kit on sale for 80 bucks... Only a 5.5 bed tho. Hauled lots of wood with it and it's holding up great so far. But I agree a Line-x or rhino or a professional kit is much better quality

Not just done by professionals, but with professional equipment. Line x is applied at 225 degrees/2200psi.
