Ok so I'm an aircraft mechanic and regular planes use what's know as avgas. Which is 100-130 octane and low lead. If I use say 10 gals of avgas and 16 gals of regular gas whats the worst that can go wrong? What damage will the low lead do if any?

Back when unleaded gas was being introduced, "regular" (leaded) gas would damage/ruin the catalytic converters. I don't know if 100LL will hurt the newer converters or not. Why would you be using expensive AVGAS in your truck anyway?

im not, i dont have converters either, i was just curious if i could use it or not. my theory is that if i mix 50/50 avgas to regular gas then i should end up in the octane range of 95-98. its 96 bucks to fill up on regular gas, 102 to fill up on premium, and 110 for 50/50 regular to avgas, so its no where near cost effective to use. just a curiosity i had.

The lead will get past with regular fuel dilution and stay in the oil. Not the greatest for the oil. Plus unless you're tuned for the higher octane there won't be that good of gains/may not run right.

a friend of mine went to tech school for aircraft mechanics and got a hold of some avgas. he mixed it with pump gas and he said it made his car run hotter. im not sure what the ratio was, but just be cautious.

The only person I know who uses AVGAS is a guy I work with who is in the process of tuning his self built 570+ cid twin turbo DPI street/strip car. And guys who fly.
