Default Difference in lower front bumper valance?

About two years ago, I replaced the lower plastic black valance that mounts to the lower front bumper on my 2005 STX. It was scratched up from running up over the parking stops. Anyhow, I bought one from Ford, and installed it. I do not have the tow hooks, so those "openings" did not exist on this valance.

I recently bought a Roush valance, and the seller sait it works on 04 to 08 Fords. In looking at the Roush sites and various Ebay sales, I see that Roush sells an 04 to 05, and then an 06 to 08 lower valance. I know there's a difference in fog lamps for these years, but I'm talking about the part that attaches to the lower bumper (black "lip").

Is there a bolt pattern difference for these plastic valances to verify a difference?

I did some research on this when i added tow hooks and replaced my lower valence. I read somewhere that it will fit, but with some trimming. You could always switch out your actual bumper for a newer one, and then the valence would fit, but that might be more trouble than its worth. I have an 07, so i could take some pics and measurements of mine and you could compare.

Thanks for the offer of taking pics from your truck, but I'd assume that would require that you remove your lower valance; I won't ask you to go through that. I did see in some other Ford F150 forums that guys said it would fit my truck, but with drilling some holes.
I guess I'll remove my stock valance this weekend and compare the two side by side to see if it's easy enough to just make some simple cts/holes for it to fit. Since the original seller sold it as being able to fit 2004 to 2008 and I used PayPal, I can get a refund.
