Default Desperate help!!!

I have a 2004 f150 heritage. Just took out the drivers side power window regulator. Had to drill out 6 rivets. Got a new one but what do you mount it with? Bolts? What size? Rivets? What kind. Any information would be gladly appreciated. George

I've bolted regulators back in before after drilling out the original rivets. I didn't think about it too hard, just pick up some decent grade bolts that fit through the holes and put a washer and a nut on them. Just make sure they're not too long so that they don't catch on anything when you cycle your window. I'd also apply some blue loctite on the fasteners when you reinstall.

Why not use rivets? Parts store sells them. They're 1/4" window regulator rivets

For me, its a pain to drill out rivets, so the first time I have to replace a motor or regulator, I drill them out (rivets), and replace with small nuts/bolts with lock washers.
Makes for an easier repair the next go around.

I probably would if I had ever purchased a rivet gun, but that's one of those tools that I think I would use once. I know they're not that much money, but I just haven't needed one enough to motivate me to get one.

I couldn't find 1/4" rivets locally, unless I wanted a bulk pack. I ended up getting 1/4" bolts from Home Depot.

Dealer gave me the rivets but were too large for my gun so I used ss bolts n lock washers. Thanks everyone for the help....
