Default Denso Coils

I was told that Denso makes the Motorcraft coils. Does anyone know if thats true and has anyone used the Denso coils for our trucks ( I have the 4.6)? Local supplier has the Denso coils and Motorcraft SP-413 for $68 total.

I believe Valeo is (or at least at one point was) FMC's OE supplier for ignition parts. Hard to really dig and find out. Might be able to call the guy at the parts desk of your local dealership and ask him who their supplier is.

I haven't had much experience with Denso parts... Napa picked up their O2 sensors right about the time I was exiting the market. Napa carried Standard Ignition parts... That company has been around pretty much since dirt had a pulse.

Wink Denso Coils @ NAPA

Yes, Denso are the OEM coils for this vehicle and they had a lifetime warranty @ NAPA. Price is not bad, so I'd go with them just for the warranty and NAPA will stand behind them!

have your coils tested bad???...many on this Forum report that the coils usually last a long time but the boots and springs should be replaced...RockAuto has a good price on them (at least for the 5.4 3V trucks)...

Good luck,

Bill

Tell ya what I have been using a couple of orielys premium lifetime coils that are made in Poland and I have about 20K on them and they work great really didnt need to change the two coils but I thought it was one of the new ford coils that went bad turned out the plugs went bad. LOL they were 60k on them and I normally change plugs at around 50. LOL
