Default Decoding the Instrument Cluster Part#

I've been looking quite a while for information that I have only been seeing bits and pieces of on the interwebs. Basically, I have figured out that when looking at used or new parts online a number such as: 8L34-10849-CA
The 1st number is the last digit of the truck model year.

I'm guessing the "_L34-10849-___" has to do with the part number, so in this case, the instrument cluster.

But for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out what the last two or three letters stand for. I've seen AA, CA, CAB, XB, and whatnot.

Is there a reference guide or list for that? I am guessing that it has to do with the trim level and options associated with the vehicle, but just not sure where to find that info.

Does anyone here have any leads for this information?
