Default Dealership AGAINST leveling!

Today i asked the mechanics at the ford dealership about putting on a level. There repnse was not what i thought it would be. They were totally against the level, both mechanics and then another joined in on the bashing of the idea. Telling me all the front end components it will wear out. From what iv read on here most people dont have trouble with levels. From what i read the problems happen when you oversize the tires and have a negative wheel set up. Any one have a comment on this topic feel free to comment.

Well depends what level if your going 2.5" who cares. 3" I'd give ya a warning but otherwise If I worked at ford I'd say "hell yeah!" that's wierd they would actually say no to it for some dumb reasons actually.

Wow, the local Ford Dealer here sells new F150's and 250's with lift kits and aftermarket tire's, rims. Pretty much all dealers do it.

^^ +1 we sell new vehicles equipped and install the often as well. I myself being a tech there have installed one in my own f150 (2.5") and running 315/70/17 bfgs. Throw it in. Took me under 2 hours to put in and the aligned it. Make sure you align it, throws it off a bit.

Our local dealership installs a lot of levels, they did my 2" and my 33's and they did my dads brand new '12 4x4 and 35's on it before he even signed the papers on it, 3" wears out ball joints because of the amount of angle on the control arms, but a 2" or 2.5" will most likely not mess anything up, I don't believe

I couldn't find a dealer within maybe 100 miles that will install a level kit. All go in with the 'if it's not a Ford or Motorcraft part we cannot/will not install it.'

They don't want the hassle or the liability of installing an aftermarket item. That is why they are feeding you the BS, to get you out of their shop. A dealership is not the place to go to get aftermarket parts installed. Even if they agree to it, you'll be paying big $$$.
