Default Dash Part Removal

Hi,
I recently purchased a 2004 F150 FX4. The center area of the dash (silver around the radio bezel) has the worn areas. I would like to repaint the whole part and want to remove it from the interior so I don't have to mask everything in the truck. Please see the picture below of the part I am referring to with the red lines pointing to it.

This is not my truck just a pic I found on the internet to illustrate the part I mean.
Can this part be easily removed? Searched the forums and didn't find anything about how this part is attached.
Also, what is the paint color and best spray paint to repaint this part?

Thanks,
Antonio

I have an '04 Lariat and have done this a couple times. Pretty easy. If you have a plastic putty knife it will help get started. Use the putty knife to work the lower corners of the panel out a bit.
Start at the bottom on both sides, grip with your fingers and put the bottom out towards you. Then slowly work your way up, I think there is 2 or 3 more clips pre side as you work your way up. At the top I believe you pull straight up to remove the panel. When yo get to the top use a flashlight and look under there to be sure, it's possible you put out at the top also. Ben several years when I removed mine but if you go slow and be careful you wont break anything.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping it was only clips holding it on. I will look at it over the weekend.
