The light went out a few weeks ago. Smacked the dash came back on. Then went out a day later. Hasn't been on since. It's one less light to see at night but am curious how to fix it.

I had the light out in my dash when I bought the truck. Went to the dealer and got the tiny bulb (there and some black and some white ones, they gave me the wrong one but it worked), took the cluster out myself and put the bulb in. I am not sure if I found the write-up on the procedure here or the other F150 site. I remember the top of dash trim piece that arches over the cluster seems like it will break before it budges, but it doesn't, it's just held in firmly by plastic clips.
