Default Darn Son in law!

ok , so i tell my son in law about my next purchase. Nitto terras. 285/70/17s. he says, they are too expensive and not as good as his Firestone ATs. (he drives a jeep Commander) he was also wondering if i was going to get the "P" or the "LT" version. what are you guys running Ps or LTs? or should i look for a new son in law. Heh Heh!

I would never run a P series tire on a truck. Also the Firestone AT's are rated number one in the AT segment on tire rack, they are an excellent tire.

Youll want LT tires. I love my bfg at ko's there quiet. great in snow and ice and have good road handling. I had firestones but they looked to plain nothing bad to say about them though

Thanks for the quick answer. He thinks i should go with "P"s and not LTs. i know the difference, and i don't tow or do any heavy hauling, so i'm still wondering who is correct. What a pain in the @#@! ITS JUST TIRES right?

You will get better mpgs and handling with proper inflated LTs but a bit smoother ride with Ps its personal preference i think factory tires are Ps
