2004 F150 Supercrew FX4; 65k miles
Lost cylinder 3 on Thursday 12/13. Cause seems to be a broken valve spring, since the fuel wasnt getting into the chamber, the coil and spark plug burnt up.
I had the guys replace all 8 spark plugs in addition to the repair. they also checked the fuel for me, as three injectors were clogged, and I had them change the fuel filter (7000 miles since last change) just for good measure. Has anyone has this happen to them?
It sure sucked seeing my truck on the back of that tow truck.
I must say, the new plugs make the truck feel like it is new again, I definitely notice the difference; I'm sure getting all of the fuel helped out too (clogged injectors).
