Default Custom Tune Suggestions

Hello all, I've been reading over on the topics on this and have found that MPT (More Power Tuning) is probably the way to go for tuning. All I'm really looking for is a better throttle response and gear holding for my towing sessions. I tow about 5 times a week for 1-3 hours each time.

Is there anyone else you guys would recommend or does everyone concur with MPT? They are a little pricey though, coming in at $445 for 3 tunes. Thanks all!

You could always find a used Edge and create your own tow tune. it does come with one you can modify. you can change your torque converter lock up points to what RPM, stuff like that.

Definitely would, but I managed to snag a SCT X4 for super cheap. While the $445 is a bit steep for the MPT, I think I'm still going to go through with it because it's worth it. I've been hearing bad things about 5Star Tuning lately.

little late to the party but I have 2 custom tunes from MPT myself and I've had no complaints. No longer have to stand on the pedal to get the thing moving, it feels much more responsive, holds gears much better under load, pulls all through the power band and shifts firm but not harsh. Power down low from a stop is almost immediate and hill climbing isn't as much of a struggle, it actually maintains speed instead of hunting from 2-3 3-2 79 times. I've had it for about 4 years now and no issues in all that time. Can't say if they're better than 5Star, I've never used 5Star but from my experience MPT has treated me very well
