I have the gryphon from power hungry performance with custom tunes and I'm extremely happy with it but the more I look around, the more I see people saying troyer custom tunes are better. So....PHP tuned gryphon? Or troyer tuned SCT? Let's see what everyone thinks and WHY.

I don't care if the Troyer is a little bit better. I like to be able to monitor everything and the Edge does that. Feels like a waist of money if I just load the tune and throw it in the glove box. Be a little more useful for $300+!!!! I would have horrible gas mileage too if I couldn't monitor my Instantaneous MPG cuz you feel guilty if there is a really low number staring at you.

Interesting thread, I will be watching this one....... I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Gryphon CTS, but lets see what others have to say about the Gryphon CTS VS. Troyer tuned CTS.

I don't know why anyone is saying one tuner is better than the other. Both Bill and Mike have been doing it for years and are the top of their field. I'd wager putting the same truck with both tunes on a dyno would create a non distinguishable difference. Both also account for longevity, making sure a/f are correct and shifting isn't out of line. Look at both and what devices they offer (People forget PHP ALSO tunes SCT programmers, they just don't sell the devices for gas) and go with who you feel most comfortable with.

Yes, me too! Would I be able to load the tunes I already have on my PC to the new device? Or would Mike have to write a different tune?

Should be able to change the serial number in the tune so it will load in the new device. I'll ask him when I get there Friday. Putting the 63lb injectors in and gonna let my fuel **** eat!
