Cruise Control & Window Problem?
Hey all,
I've searched this forum before posting this. I've read and read for days already and I just want to make sure that what I read is in fact accurate.
Here's the problem, I bought an 04 Lariat 4x4 SCrew a week ago. I didn't realize that the cruise control does not work until after I already bought it and drove it down the highway and needed it. Needless to say, cruise doesn't work. I was fine since I drive in the highway that I can't use the cruise cause of too much traffic. So last night driving back home at midnight, I tried it and somehow it started working. Well, I rolled down the rear passenger window and sure enough the cruise quite working and now my rear pass window doesn't work any longer. I had to remove the panel and use my Ryobi rechargeable battery to bring it back up so it's completely close.
I've read somewhere that this was caused of some cruise control actuator that is under the shifting column in the center console floor board. Can someone please confirm that replacing this part will indeed fix the issue? I'm reluctant buying parts that may or may not resolve the issue. I just spent over $600 cause all my plugs broke off, so I'm not so happy with this truck at the moment.
The truck also sounds like a diesel, but from reading this points to cam phasers that might be going bad. Idle is weird with the truck as there are time that the RPM drops below 500 and felt like it will stall. Ugh - I'm pretty annoyed at the moment.
Anyone who can confirm or provide suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
