Anyone else out there have issues with their cruise control? I was driving from Missouri to NM and if I hit the brake while cruise control was on it wouldnt come back on. I could only do it if I slammed the brakes. Weird I know, but does anyone have any other issues like this?

 

My 04 had an issue where if the cruise control was on and you rolled up the window and held the window switch 1 or 2 sec after fully closed it would cause the cruise control to turn off. I also didn't have to use the brake to put the truck into drive ether because a cruise control sensor failure.

Through investigation my problem was that the brake interlock switch in the floor shifter shorted out. Also found out that there are two sensors that control braking with cruise control. The interlock switch in the shifter and a sensor on the brake peddle assembly.

See if any these diagnosis tells apply to your truck.

Ok but but my cruise does not work at all it will sometimes come on for a brief second, but then shut off.
