Hey guys i have a 04 f150 fx4 5.4l and my cruise control quit working....... Ive already checked both fuses which were fine but replaced anyways and still nothing.... It quit working when i removed an cleaned the throttle body, ive removed the airbox an checked the pin fitments and also attempted to scan it with a snap on modus scanner however it wont do a self test and shows no codes, ive also looked it up and tested the resistance for each switch and they are all within spec, the only thing i have left is too see if the deactivation switch is ffffeddd. Any ford mechanics on here?

 

May sound silly, but are your brake lights working?

yep everything works. got center consol shift and some times the shifter is funky.

 

Ok, describe funky? I had problems with the truck hanging in park, and also the cruise control wouldn't work. Turns out the transmission interlock and the cruise control are related. Fixed the interlock, and the cruise control began to work.

 

i have a 2005 fx4 5.4l. the cruise control went out. i tried the brake lights as i have leds, and still didnt work. ive checked the fuses, doesnt shift out of park without the brake either. any suggestions??

 

your supposed to apply the brakes too shift out of park. Mine doesnt shift out very smooth and i had that same issue with playing around with park. The shifter release button is kinda sticky. what all did you replace? I was thinking about replacing that anyways.
