this is the strut I believe its cracked like this on both sides lol I drive it hard and go offroading every now and then lol anyone ever expierance this??
help me out here guys!

OH BTW i have a 2.5" leveling kit and nitto terra graps 325/60/18 if that matters

You talking about inside the spring? I think thats just a cover, if the strut was cracked youd have hydraulic oil leaking out.

Thats just a piece of plastic, you would know very well if the strut was cracked. Oil leaking, cracking/popping, noises etc

What he said those plastic sleeves just cover the inside rod i dont even have them on mine nomore took em off when i went down....that sounded wrong haha!

Take the struts off then take the top mount off strut but be carefull of the spring releasing.....honestly not worth it only reason i kept them off is because they wouldnt fit back between the rubber and spacer i put on to raise it a inch or it woulda been too low ha

Dont mess with them. They are there to keep dirt off the rod and seals. Plus you would need a compressor to properly remove them

Yup its a pain to remove them unless you really need to. Could be an excuse to upgrade shocks tho.
