Use your stethoscope or bar/screw driver, again and see if the ticking sound is coming from the front where the cam phasers are.check each side.I am new to this Just bought a 2007 F150 supercab no mods yet 45000 miles on her .I think this old girl has been sitting along while,I am pretty sure I will have to put on new exhaust manifold passenger side cold tick and 90 sec in she is quiet.Good luck

@joebl You responded to a 4.5 yr old posting to which they responded to a 4yr old thread making the original issue by the op over 8 yrs old. I would think the issue no longer exists. Thank you though for making input.

I am responding to it in hopes of finding what is wrong with my similar problem. So obviously the problem still exist just to another person.
