So a long time ago I put a canned tune on my truck from the SCT x4. A couple months ago the truck 2004 5.4L started making a grinding noise when letting off the gas and weird acceleration. So I took the tuner off and fixed it. Got the tuner updated and put it back on truck. Worked fine for a while then did the same thing so took it back off. Now it does the same thing when tune is removed. Any idea on what happened or am I screwed?? Or some other issue causing this?

 

2WD or 4WD ? What makes you think stock files are corrupted? You did return to stock before you removed the SCT and updated it ?

 

Sounds like a problem in the IWE system. Totally unrelated.

 

Agree if it’s a 4WD..

 

It's a 2WD. And yes i returned to stock before updating but i think it's that because It's only happened when the tuner was on it before but now it's just all the time. I could be wrong. Just worried it might be something major. Also now has a major shudder while idling.
