Default Correct Camshaft?

Hello,
I am replacing my camshaft and get the new parts in from Melling. (Ford F150 5.4L V8)

It's the yellow notches that don't match in this photo.

However the ring on the end has the notches in a different spot. I think it's called the Reulctor ring? On this picture you can see the yellow areas don't match. (But if the blue notches are in alignment then all the lobes look to be in the correct spot). Did I get the wrong part or does this ring not matter where the notches are?

The notch on the end in your blue box need to match in relation to the lobes.
The notches in yellow as far as I can tell have nothing to do with anything else on the engine, maybe they were used during manufacture to dial in the machines shop equipment.
