Default Coolant bleeder valve??

Is there such a thing for a 2005 FX4. I just flushed my coolant, but haven't been able to get as much to go back in as I originally flushed out. I have tried running the engine with cap off to try and get any air to escape with out any luck. Any ideas???

Jack up the front end as high as you can. Chock the back wheels set the ebrake and start your engine. Let it get up to operating temp and let it run for about twenty min. It should burp the radiator.

First off, you are less likely to burp the system without it being under pressure so put the cap back on. Drive the truck around the block to normal operating temperature and bring it back. Release the cap pressure slowly until you can open the cap completely without losing coolant. There will still be coolant in your overflow tank. Walk away for about 5 minutes and come back and it will be bone dry. This means the system has purged and the hot air has been replaced with coolant. Just top it off and you're done.

A combination of both of these suggestions will work. The Ford service manual says to run the truck with the heat on full, radiator cap off, and filling the reservoir when it runs down. This can take some time depending if you did a full or partial flush.

When I did a flush, I found the system WAY easier to burp than some other cars I've done in the past (BMW was the worst).
