Console lid

I have a 2008 F150 with 40/20/40 seats the console lid has some change in it and makes noise when you open it any ideas on how to remove it the lid does not come off

It comes off but you need a star key set. Look similar to Allen wrenches but have a star shaped end.

They are called torx bits..

Remove the 4 or 5 torx bits underneith the lid by the spring latch, then pull up and wiggle.. its held on by 2 nipples
