Default Computer issue

If you read my profile I did an extensive rebuild at 200k. I have had flawless operation for 30k miles until last night. Leaving our dinner spot, my bright lights would not come on. When I did the bright light flash (pulling stalk towards me) they would come on and stay on- that was intermittent and I messed with it on the way home and now will not come on at all. My first thought was the switch but them my a/c stopped fan would run but not cold. I let the truck sit overnight- a/c seems to be coming on as I can hear the compressor kick in but the high beam lights are still an issue. Low beam and turn signals are OK. My high beams get little use- seems a lot of other switches would have gone first. Should I try to reset the computer? Anything else I can troubleshoot/service that switch??? The a/c acting up sounds like a control issue and not the switch...

Does the AC clutch engage? If not I'd check power to it.

Is your headlight switch in Auto position, I'd change it to manual position.

Any other electrical issues?

No, no other issues-
on the a/c I picked up a recharge bottle eith gauge. I have connected it, running the a/c on max 60 degrees and the gaugecis way in the red. The clutch is spinning, checked that with and without the ac on. I topped it off 2 or 3 years ago and it worked very well. If I start driving around the hood, 25 mph, itvstarts to blow cool quick which is why i thought it was low. I assume these gauges are accurate?
moh.on the lights I do not have an auto bright function...they would and stay on bright if I pulled back like I'm flashing the brights and then turn off when I flashed again- now they won't go bright at all. I guess two different issues that just happened at yhe same time...
