Default Components In Front Door Install

Is there a write up or tutorial on how to install components in the front doors of our trucks? Looking at getting some Infinity Kappa 50.9cs. Just wondering where the best place to put the extra crossover thing (not sure if that's what it's called or not)

Thanks

i installed infinity kappas all around, they came with crossovers too, its a pain in the ***. either they are gonna hit the window when you roll them down or they will get wet if you let them sit at the bottom. i just zip tied them to the speakers, no issues yet!

Is it absolutely necessary to install them in the doors or can you just find a good hidden place somewhere and run speaker wire to them?

Dude I paid Best Buy $100 to deal with that head ache. Not the best workmanship, but I got no regrets.

I installed kappas all the way around in my truck, components in the front. For the crossovers in the front i double sided tape them to the inside of the door, against the outer sheet metal. been like that for 2 months with no problems. Pretty much right behind the speaker. 3M double sided tape works wonders.

If you want a good place that has no troubles, pop off the plastic piece that has the window switch on it and hide it in there. It's a little tough to get the wires there, but is dry and window isn't even close

That's funny you said that because I just bought a roll of double sided tape at home Depot a couple days ago for another project. I love double sided tape, lol. Sure is expensive though.

Anyways, basically what you're saying is tape the crossover directly behind the speaker up against the metal of the door. Once the crossover is taped there, is there enough room to fully seat(?) the speaker so that it is flush and in the correct position?
