Dont know what kind of antenna you want but Wilson 1000 and 5000 have removable whips. The coil and whip remove from the magmount (if you want a magmount) then a cap goes on the base to prevent water intrusion into the connection.
Siro 5000 and Siro turbos can be mounted on stud mounts or magmounts and they are a foldable antenna.
Wilsons and Siro's cost about $65-$90 depending were you look.

Workman has mounts that fold for antennas. They have mounts for any antenna you would want to use.
The last link is the Workman catalog with all the mounts.

That mount is used by many ham radio operators. I personally haven't used it, but being a ham guy myself, I know how picky we are on how useful and resilient our equipment is. So, I would say it's good... Take that for what you will.

Thanks guys i'll check them out. I THINK i want a stake hole mount with some kind of fold down capability. I was looking at the fold down adapters, but they seem to have a lot of poor reviews. I'm a casual cb user with a basic Cobra 18wx st. Mostly use the wx function.

Can anyone recommend a solid quick disconnect and/or a good setup for a stake hole antenna mount? Can i expect to tune to good swr with a stake hole mount?

Here are some quick disconnects.

If you use a stake mount it may be good idea to run a ground wire from the stake hole mount down to the frame of the truck. Ground is important in good swr with an antenna.
Most cb antennas are factory set to give good swr reading out of the box for a stock cb radio.

Got my radio up and running. Went with a Firestik Stake hole mount, spring and disconnect. Coax through the floor, in-dash radio wired to battery. 1.2-1.8 swr across band, im happy with it all.

Thank you all for the links and knowledge. I appreciate it
