Default ****COLUMN**** SHIFT indicator LED

Since I've browsed for the past 2 hours and couldn't find a damn thing, is there anyway to get rid of the green lighting for the COLUMN shift gear indicator? I have all LEDs ready to be installed, just need to know if I can change the color of the gear selector. This is a 2005 F150 XLT, again, COLUMN shift. Sorry in advance if it's been brought up in another thread but like I said, I couldn't find didly on it.

There is a green strip adhered to a clear plastic piece. You would need to fabricate a strip for what ever color you want to change to.

If the strip is easily removed I don't know.
