Cold air intake question?!?!

i heard the other day that if i buy a cold air intake that i have to change my mass air flow sensor, is this true? and also putting a throttle body spacer in affect the way the cold air intake goes in?

Forget the spacer (don't work, waste of $).
Didnt do anything when I installed my CAI, run's fine, 3 years now.
