Default cold air intake...

I am looking to buy a cold air intake to go along with my edge programmer and magnaflow exhaust but I'm torn between S&B, K&N, and a Spectre. Anyone have any advice on which one I should go with?

My 2 cents would be to go with a tuner that you can get some custom tunes for. Adding a CAI has a high possibility of leaning out the engine and a custom tunes do wonders for these trucks. Edge's come with tunes for stock trucks. I would suggest a gryphon.

As for the CAI, I run a volant and like knowing that its pulling cooler air from outside the engine bay and is completely inclosed in heat resistant materials. But if I was to do my CAI again I would just do the GOTS MOD. Quite a bit cheeper and dose pretty much the same thing as a aftermarket CAI.

yea if you are absolutely set on getting one just make sure its closed off from the rest of the engine. if you want to save some money then just try the gotts mod. it just wont give you the awesome sound
