Default Coil Problems

Is there any way to check the coils on 06 5.4. Ive replaced one but think i ve another one. Misfires when im on it. Plugs look good

is it the coil packs? pull em off and check the boot and spring it seems they go bad and you can buy jusst the boot and the spring save some money

if you have a programmer it should tell which cyl is missfiring. To tell if it is the coil just swap coils with another cyl and see if the missfire follows the coil or stays with the original cyl. If the misfire follows the coil, it is the coil. a simple test.
Parts stores sell a tool to pull the codes. but make sure it will narrow down the affected cyl.

Maybe auto Zone rents the tool?

check it with a programer and see what cylindar mine was the third and it was my spring just take it off and look at it if its rusty or broke its bad you can clean the spring if you want to you can replace the coil pack or just boot and spring i have a coil pack thats still good it was my spring that went bad and its cheaper to replace take the bolt off with a nut driver and just pull it up
