Default Coil Pack removal Need Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to change the plugs in my 06 150 5.4L. I removed the 7 mm bolt and the coil pack seems to be stuck on the plug. How should I go about removing them. I gave one a tug and the spring came out and the rubber stayed in the hole and wont come out. Also I noticed there seems to be a lot of corrosion around the plugs more than I expected to see is this normal?

And do yourself (or the next owner) a favor; before you re-install the coil plug boot to the spark plug, apply some dielectric grease to the spark plug tip; the boot will not "stick", and the dielectric grease will not create any resistance. Just don't use plain grease.

Is it normal for there to be a lot of corrosion around the plugs it seems like a lot. The whole area around the plug is breaking apart.

I'd say it's not "normal" for the plug to be breaking apart. Are yousaying the porcilen (spelling) is breaking apart?

No sorry not the plug the area on the head around where the spark plug hole is really deteroriating. I was just wondering if this is normal on these trucks. I am thinking that it looks like it is something that would happen to all of them but I am not sure.
