I have a code P2004 which is for intake manifold runner control stuck open (bank 1). I have found similar discussions about this problem on other cars, but not for the F150. It appears that there is vacuum diaphram that actuates a butterfly on the intake runner. Where on my truck would this be located? A good description or even a picture would be great. Are there any typical fixes for this, as in broken/disconnected clips, ruptured diaphram, etc?

BTW mine is a 2004 F150 Supercrew, FX4, no mods.

Check the linkage. I know on the windstars you usually had to replace the little bushings that hold the linkage in place because the linkage would fall out.
