Default Code P0506 help!!

The check engine light came on the other day, so today I went to advance auto to check it out. They hook up the diagnostic box to it and the code P0506 was the only code that showed up. So I google the code and this is what I found:

http://www.obd-codes.com/p0506

I recently disconnected my battery cable to do some projects, after doing that, I was driving home and my truck died, thinking it was the battery and the check engine was was on...Does anyone have any thoughts about this code and what I need to do, or is it not a big deal? I bought some cleaner and a brush for the battery terminal. Hopefully this will solve my problem with the truck dying on me. Thanks

I'd try cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor too. I do it every year. Its easy and will only cost you the amount of cleaner that is safe on throttle bodies and electrical contact cleaner for the MAF. Might be worth a shot. I know on my old ranger, cleaning the MAF made a huge difference in the idle.

My truck threw this code after replacing the fuel filter. Bought some throttle body cleaner, cleaned it out, cleaned the air filter, and I haven't had a problem since. Trucks been running 100x better too

Me and a buddy of mine fixed it today after work! Bought some tb and maf sensor spray. Sprayed the throttle and cleaned it with a tooth brush. Also had the ground battery cable unhooked during this clean up. Took about an hour to do, mainly to let the computer to reset. It took a couple of times to crank up, but the check engine light is off and is running smoothly!
