I've been experiencing the infamous loss of power/bogged down feeling while accelerating lately due to bad plugs, coils, and/or injectors. I had my plugs replaced no more than 30K miles ago so I can't see how it would be them. So I figured it might be a coil or injector. Took it to my local mechanic who scanned it and got code 316 to come up, which according to him could point to various things being wrong but it's beyond their computer's capability to pin point it, essentially it's not throwing a code that pinpoints a specific cylinder that's misfiring. He suggested I take it to the dealer where their scanner is more likely to narrow it down. But I know I'm gunna get raped just to have it diagnosed, let alone they'll probably want to replace it then and rape me even more.

So what do I do? Anyone ever get code 316 thrown before?
