Default Cluster Swap Question...

On the FX2 and FX4 clusters, the window for the PRND12, does that get removed if I want to install one in an XLT?

Some FX2/4 clusters have the gear indicator and some don't. You would remove that indicator if your truck has a floor-mounted shifter.

I have a column shift. I'm looking to put an FX4 cluster into my XLT. The new cluster has the "FX4" logo in the "PRND12" spot.

My question is, is that "FX4" logo removable? I want to put my "PRND12" shift indicator back in that spot.

Yes, you remove the gear indicator from you cluster and install it in the new one. There are only two plastic clips holding it in place.

Thanks for the response. However, I've done a cluster swap before. I know how to swap over the shift indicator.

My question has to do with the FX4 cluster...

The "FX4" logo in that same spot, is THAT logo removable?

Sorry, my wording wasn't that clear. The logo is removable, its the same as the gear indicator.

Cool! Thanks!

Waiting for the new cluster to come in now. Gotta put some blue LEDs in it before installing it in the truck though.

I'll have an XLT cluster with tach (done in blue LEDs) all set up and ready for white or red LEDs when I'm done. If anyone is interested in it, PM me.

I'll be keeping my white needles. So, if anyone wants to keep the blue LEDs you'll have to change to white or blue needles.
