Hmm...that is interesting, I did read a thread a while ago where they mentioned an issue with the solder on the display melting or breaking off and the connection can get loose causing the display to flicker on and off. But some of the things you are describing come from a dying alternator or a bad battery, How long has it been going on?

For a month now.. it only does it when i start truck and its like 100 degrees in the truck.. does it for a few seconds.. and never agian im a mechanic, i highly doubt its alt.. ive never had starting issues or dying issues its just on hot starts.. sounds more like joint issue
This may sound kind of stupid, but have you tried smacking the dash while its doing this? Not scientific or mechanical in any way shape or form. But I had the issue on my old cluster where the display would turn on and off but never the whole cluster. Anytime it did this I would smack the dash right next to the little cubby on the top middle of the dash. A good solid hit and it would start working again, obviously in my case, the connection was loose, but from what Ive learned by taking multiple clusters apart. Each gauge has its own motor and wiring, I imagine it all uses the same power wire however. Maybe that would be something to check. Also I know there are services for about 100 bucks on eBay where you send your cluster in and they reman it and then send it back to you. Never heard of anyone having to use it, but figured it was worth mentioning. You could also buy a cluster on eBay for about 200 bucks, you send in your mileage and they program it before it's shipped to you or the most cost effective thing, buy a used cluster and just keep track of the difference in mileage between the clusters. This is all assuming it's the cluster and not something else.
Ill have to check it out, this morning and last night was fine no issues. It only does it when its super hot out and its like a sona in the cab. Black truck black leather.. and it seriously only last like 15 seconds
