I've been trying to figure out a clunk that I've been having on my pickup for a while now. Its upon starting up and slowing down or braking. I just had recently done all the brakes, hub assemblies, 4WD actuators and my u-joints on the rear driveshaft. I changed both upper and lower ball joints. New shocks and struts. I had just changed out my transmission about 14k miles ago but don't leave out possible issues with the transmission. I have looked a little bit into possible bad leaf spring bushings as a possibility. I just checked my front drive line and it actually rotates about 1/8 to 1/4 a turn so could i be looking at an issue in the front drive line or the transfer case? Maybe the 4WD shift solenoid on the back of the transfer case? I'm just at a loss at this point. If there are any ideas of things for me to check out, please don't hesitate to suggest them! Try removing them and replicating the issue.
