clunk noise

Default clunk noise

When i put my truck in reverse and back up about 30 ft i will hear a loud clunk noise and it does it once and a while in drive at a low speed after i put it in drive.

It's either that or you have a rear end problem...crawl under and see if you can move the u joints by hand...just try turning the drive shaft by hand back and forth...look for some play.

Mines been doing the same thing in the right front for about 3 months. I did check out my drive shaft and there is about an inch of play in it.
