I just wanted to share my experience over last weekend. I hopped in my 2004 lariat 4x4 and noticed the climate control panel was flashing on and off every couple of seconds accompanied by a click from the fuse box on the passenger side kick panel. i googled the problem and found that if i pulled the dash panel and unplugged the 2 plugs on the back of the head unit and left it off for about 5 mins then plugged it all back in it worked!

I was very happy that it didnt cost me a dime

 

you're lucky man, exact same thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago. turned out the a/c control module was fried. had to have the dealership order and put in a new one, cost $500 lol
